Hospital Floods After Pipe Breaks
This before photo shows the waiting room of a hospital after a pipe froze and broke. The broken sprinkler saturated the drop ceiling and caused many to fall. The photo on the left shows the scene when SERVPRO of Benton, Jasper, Newton and Southern Lake Counties arrived. First, the crews removed the remaining ceiling tiles. Then the crews extracted the standing water. Next, they cleaned all of the chairs with an antimicrobial. Then crews worked after business hours to remove the affected drywall, insulation and trim and replace it with temporary wallboard. Finally, the crews reset the contents so that the hospital could resume normal operations.
